Site Director: Mahina McCamey
Mahina McCamey was born and raised in Honolulu, HI. She lettered for 4 years in both volleyball and basketball at Iolani School. She is just as passionate a coach as she was a player, which led to her earning both First and Second Team All League Honors in high school. She then received a volleyball scholarship to play at Lewis-Clark State College and then transferred to Eastern Oregon University. Playing 4 years of collegiate volleyball was one of the best experiences of her life.
Mahina moved to California in 2003 and began teaching 2nd grade and coaching volleyball at Tracy High School right away. During her 15 year tenure, as first the assistant (6 years) and then the head volleyball coach (9 years) at Tracy High School, her teams powered through a tough league schedule and brought home multiple SJAA league championships. She lead her teams to the CIF tournament during the 2015-2018 seasons and then twice to the State tournament for the second and third times in Tracy High history. Mahina was awarded back-to-back San Joaquin Area Coach of the Year awards in 2014 and 2015.
A few years ago, Mahina retired from coaching at Tracy High to spend more time with her husband and two sons, who are now 6 and 7. Mahina is in her 21st year of teaching, and loves being part of the Next Level Volleyball Program.
