Advanced Volleyball Program Overview
Next Level Advanced Volleyball is designed for athletes who are ready to take the next step in their volleyball journey. Building on the skills and fundamentals developed through our core Next Level Volleyball program, this advanced league transitions players into a true team-based competitive experience where strategy, communication, and game play become the primary focus.
Designed for players with a strong understanding of the game - participants compete in full head-to-head volleyball matches while continuing to refine serving, passing, setting, attacking, blocking, defensive positioning, and court awareness. Guided by dedicated coaches in a positive and competitive environment, athletes develop advanced techniques, strengthen their volleyball IQ, and learn how to perform as confident teammates in match situations.

Advanced Volleyball Season Operations
Season Schedule
Each Next Level Advanced Volleyball season consists of up to 6 program dates, providing athletes with a structured and competitive team volleyball experience. Program locations may occasionally vary based on facility availability and scheduling. Families should reference their specific location schedule for the most up-to-date information.
Grade-Based Divisions
Next Level Advanced Volleyball is organized by grade level to provide a fun, competitive, and developmentally appropriate experience for every athlete. Depending on overall registration numbers, divisions may consist of individual grade levels or combined grade groupings. Every effort is made to create balanced teams and competitive matchups that support both player development and an enjoyable season.
One-Day Weekly Commitment
Every weekly program combines team warm-ups, coaching and feedback, and competitive match play into one convenient session. Families only need to set aside approximately 2 hours each week while athletes enjoy real game experience and meaningful match play.
Competitive Match Play
Advanced Volleyball is built around full head-to-head team competition. Each program date includes organized volleyball matches where athletes apply advanced skills, team strategies, communication, and game concepts in a true competitive environment. Every match provides opportunities for players to continue developing while experiencing the excitement of team competition.
Team Formation
To create the most balanced league experience possible, teams are formed with an even split between grade levels when applicable. Teams are not carried over from the Core season, and while buddy requests may be considered when possible, they are more limited than in our Core Volleyball program to ensure competitive parity and provide athletes the opportunity to build relationships with new teammates.
Student-Athlete Mentor Coaches
Every team is supported by local high school or collegiate Student-Athlete Mentor Coaches who assist with player development, instruction, and team leadership throughout the season. Experienced Site Directors oversee all match play, instruction, and league operations to ensure a positive, organized, and competitive experience.
Uniforms & Optional Player Packs
Every registered participant receives an official Next Level Volleyball uniform as part of their league registration. Optional Player Pack items, available for purchase during registration, are typically shipped alongside season uniforms whenever possible, although select items may arrive separately due to production or fulfillment schedules. Prior to production, families will receive a size verification email to confirm uniform sizing and shipping information.
Communication
Throughout the season, families receive regular email updates regarding schedules, program reminders, and important league information. We encourage participants to monitor their email and program webpage for the latest updates throughout the season.

Our Development Philosophy
Next Level Advanced Volleyball is designed for athletes ready to elevate their game through meaningful team competition. Building upon the skills developed in our Core Volleyball program, Advanced Volleyball emphasizes game strategy, communication, teamwork, and competitive match experience while continuing to strengthen each athlete's technical foundation.
Whether transitioning from our introductory program or bringing prior volleyball experience, athletes are challenged to compete with confidence, support their teammates, and continue developing both individually and collectively throughout the season.
Competitive Team Experience
Unlike our Core Volleyball program, Advanced Volleyball places a greater emphasis on full team competition. Athletes compete in organized head-to-head matches each week while learning advanced offensive and defensive systems, court positioning, communication, and team strategy in a positive, development-focused environment.
Team Formation
To provide the highest-quality competitive experience, teams are intentionally balanced across the league. While we understand the value of playing with friends, buddy requests are limited within Advanced Volleyball to promote fair competition, encourage new friendships, and create well-balanced teams each season.
Equipment
Participants should wear athletic court shoes and are encouraged to wear knee pads for added comfort and protection during competition. All volleyball equipment is provided by Next Level Sports.
Parent Sideline Expectations
Parents and families play an important role in creating an outstanding competitive environment. We encourage enthusiastic support while demonstrating respect for athletes, coaches, officials, and fellow spectators.

Weather Policy
Because Next Level Advanced Volleyball is played indoors, programs are rarely impacted by weather. In the event of severe weather, facility closures, power outages, unsafe travel conditions, or other circumstances affecting program operations, Next Level Sports will communicate any schedule changes or cancellations to registered families as quickly as possible through our official communication channels.
