Girls Basketball Program Overview
Next Level Girls Basketball is dedicated to empowering the next generation of female athletes through a fun, supportive, and development-focused basketball experience. With programs hosted at premier schools and community venues throughout the country, we provide girls with the opportunity to build confidence, develop their skills, and discover a lifelong love for the game in an encouraging, community-first environment.
Designed specifically for girls from Kindergarten through 8th grade (grade offerings vary by location), our leagues emphasize skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership while creating a positive space where every athlete feels welcomed, challenged, and inspired to grow. Led by dedicated coaches and supported by exceptional game-day operations, Next Level Girls Basketball helps players strengthen their game, form meaningful friendships, and gain confidence both on and off the court.

Girls Basketball Season Operations
Season Schedule
Each Next Level Girls Basketball season consists of up to 10 program dates, providing athletes with a fun, organized, and development-focused experience throughout the season. Program locations may occasionally vary based on facility availability and scheduling. Families should reference their specific location schedule for the most up-to-date information.
Grade-Based Divisions
Next Level Girls Basketball is organized by grade level to provide a fun, competitive, and developmentally appropriate experience for every athlete. Depending on overall registration numbers, divisions may consist of individual grade levels or combined grade groupings. Every effort is made to create balanced teams and competitive matchups that support both player development and an enjoyable season.
One-Day Weekly Commitment
Every weekly program combines practice and games into one convenient two-hour session. Team practice takes place immediately before game play, allowing athletes to develop new skills and immediately apply them in competition. This single-day format helps families enjoy the season without additional weekday commitments.
Practice & Game Play
Each program date begins with instructional team practice focused on basketball fundamentals, teamwork, communication, and player development before transitioning into organized 5-on-5 league games (unless otherwise noted for a specific program). Every game provides athletes with meaningful opportunities to build confidence, strengthen their skills, and enjoy healthy competition in a positive and encouraging environment.
Student-Athlete Mentor Coaches
Every team is led by a local high school or collegiate Student-Athlete Mentor Coach who serves as the team's Head Coach and positive role model throughout the season. Parent Volunteer Coaches assist with player rotations, sideline organization, and team support, allowing our Student Coaches to lead instruction and game management. Together, they create a positive, empowering, and engaging experience for every athlete.
Uniforms & Optional Player Packs
Every registered participant receives an official Next Level Girls Basketball uniform as part of their league registration. Optional Player Pack items, available for purchase during registration, are typically shipped alongside season uniforms whenever possible, although select items may arrive separately due to production or fulfillment schedules. Prior to production, families will receive a size verification email to confirm their uniform sizing and shipping information.
Communication
Throughout the season, families receive regular email updates regarding schedules, weather, program reminders, and important league information. We encourage participants to monitor their email and their program webpage for the latest updates throughout the season.

Designed specifically for girls of all experience levels, our leagues emphasize skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, and encouragement in a positive, community-first atmosphere. Whether stepping onto the court for the first time or continuing their basketball journey, every participant is encouraged to challenge herself, compete with confidence, and grow both as an athlete and as a teammate.
Community-Based Teams
Whenever possible, teams are formed with classmates, schoolmates, friends, and approved buddy requests to create a familiar and encouraging experience while strengthening connections within the local community.
Equipment
No prior basketball experience is required to participate. Next Level provides all essential basketball equipment throughout the season. Participants should wear basketball or athletic shoes and bring a water bottle to every program date.
Parent Sideline Expectations
Parents and families are an important part of the Next Level Girls Basketball experience. We encourage enthusiastic support while demonstrating respect for players, coaches, officials, and fellow spectators.
To help create the best environment for every athlete, we ask that parents:
Encourage all players through positive sportsmanship.
Allow Student-Athlete Coaches and officials to coach and officiate the game without sideline instruction or criticism.
Respect officials' decisions and model appropriate behavior at all times.
Celebrate confidence, teamwork, effort, improvement, and leadership just as much as the final score.
Positive sidelines help girls develop confidence, embrace competition, and discover a lifelong love for basketball.
Weather Policy
Because Next Level Girls Basketball is played indoors, programs are rarely impacted by weather. In the event of severe weather, facility closures, power outages, unsafe travel conditions, or other circumstances affecting program operations, Next Level Sports will communicate any schedule changes or cancellations to registered families as quickly as possible through our official communication channels.
