Marin Catholic - Summer Camp FAQ

What age ranges are the MC Summer Camps open to?

The MC Summer Camp programs are open to all rising 2nd - 8th-grade participants.

May participants choose which sports they participate in each week?

No. Unfortunately, due to the nature of required cohort management under the current Marin County Health Order, participants must participate in the program track(s) provided at the time of registration.

What happens if my participant needs to miss a day of camp or similar?

If your participant can not attend the summer camp on a particular day or set of days, we ask that you merely notify the Next Level Sports team of such absence.

Can a participant sign up for both the morning and the afternoon camp session to provide a full-day program?

No. Unfortunately, to maintain the health and safety of our staff, as well as to maintain compliance with the current Marin County Health Order, we are not allowing for participants to sign up for both sessions.

Are all camps 3-weeks in duration?

Yes, per the current Marin County Health Order, all camp participants must remain in the camp and respective cohorts for a duration of 3 weeks.

Will there be any camps that are not a full 3-weeks in duration?

No. Due to the current Marin County Health Order, we can not offer camps for a duration less than 3 weeks in length.

What happens if the Marin County Health Order changes prior (or during) the camp duration?

Next Level Sports will continuously monitor any/all updates from the Marin County Health Office. If changes/updates are made, we will seek to understand any/all updates and make any adjustments to our program as necessary.

Does my participant need to bring anything to camp each day/week?

Participants should bring appropriate athletic shoes for their particular weekly program, water/hydration, sunscreen (for outdoor activity), a protective mask, and any personal cleansing items such as hand sanitizer or similar to ensure they are comfortable during each camp session.

Will all participants be grouped into ‘Cohorts’ or ‘Social Bubbles’ during camp?

Yes. All participants will be grouped into a cohort of up to 12 participants during the entire duration of the camp period.

If a player drops from the Summer Camp program, will another participant be added to any Cohort?

Under most circumstances - No. If a cohort group starts the Summer Camp program with 12 participants and a participant should drop from the program, another participant WILL NOT be added. If a cohort starts the program with less than 12 participants, a newly added participant may join that cohort but they will have to join and remain with that cohort for the duration of the camp period.

Will participants need to have their temperatures checked?

Yes. Our staff will perform daily temperature checks upon the arrival of each participant. If a participant is showing signs of a fever or elevated temperatures above recommended temperatures, said participant(s) will not be able to attend the camp session that day.

If my son/daughter has shown recent signs of a fever or elevated temperatures, should they attend camp?

No. Any participant showing signs of an elevated temperature will not be allowed to participate in any daily segment of the camp. If a participant is showing signs of elevated temperature or fever, parents should immediately reach out to the Next Level Staff for guidance and monitoring.
