As a parent volunteer coach with Next Level Sports, I recognize the significant impact my actions have on the experience of young athletes. I hereby pledge to uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct by committing to the following principles:

1. Positive Role Model

• I will demonstrate sportsmanship, integrity, and self-control both on and off the field/court at all times.
• I will encourage fair play and promote a positive environment for all participants, student-athletes, referees and site staff.

2. Respect For Others

• I will treat all players, parents, officials, student-athletes and site staff with respect and dignity, regardless of any differences.
• I will refrain from using profanity, derogatory language, or any form of harassment or discrimination to anyone at any time.

3. Respect for NL’s Unique Coaching Structure

• I understand that as a Volunteer Assistant Coach I am serving the Student-Head Coach and his/her efforts to lead the team.
• I will focus on creating a positive environment between myself and the Student-Head Coach.
• I understand that I will first follow the Student Head-Coaches direction, but will lead the Student when necessary.
• I will not attempt to take over the team/environment and will always allow for growth of the Student-Head Coach.

4. Player Development

• I will aim to provide equal opportunities for all players to learn and participate, following Next Level Sports’ Playing Time/Rotation Rules.
• I will focus on assisting the student-athletes in their leadership role and development.
• I will promote & foster the development of fundamental skills, a love for the sport, and an atmosphere of personal growth.

5. Safety and Well-being

• I will prioritize the physical and emotional safety of all Next Level participants and student-athletes.

6. Professionalism

• I will maintain open, honest, and respectful communication with players, parents and staff.
• I will address any concerns calmly and constructively, working in a positive manner toward a resolution.
• I will maintain appropriate relationships with participants and student-athletes at all times.

7. Substance-Free Environment

• I will not use or be under the influence of alcohol, tobacco, or illegal substances during any team activities.

8. Compliance and Integrity

• I will adhere to all rules and regulations set by Next Level Sports and governing bodies.
• I will report any unethical and/or problematic behavior to the site staff for resolution.
