Site Director: Brandon Sanders & Syndric Steptoe

Brandon Sanders - Wildcat Football Staff

Arizona Head Coach Jedd Fisch added to his football staff with the appointment of Wildcat alum Brandon Sanders as Coordinator of Football Alumni and High School Relations in February of 2021. Sanders became the third of four Arizona Football alumnus to join the staff, following Ricky Hunley and Chuck Cecil who were named assistant coaches in December and Tedy Bruschi who was named Senior Advisor to the Head Football Coach.

In his new role, Sanders will be a pivotal part of Arizona Football's outreach, alumni and community relations and operations. He will also work closely with the athletic department's "A-Club" for Letterwinners while supporting the program's on-campus recruiting activities and player development initiatives.

Sanders was a two-time First Team All-Pac-10 selection as a safety for the Wildcats in 1994 and 1995 as Arizona would go on to finish the 1993 season ranked number one nationally in total defense. By the time his college career ended, Sanders ranked third in school history in pass breakups while amassing 199 total tackles, five sacks and nine interceptions in 46 career starts. He went on to play three seasons with the New York Giants of the NFL before playing in NFL Europe and the XFL.

The San Diego native has extensive coaching experience as well in both the Indoor Football League as well as the head coach of Pueblo Magnet High School in Tucson where he guided the Warriors to a pair of region titles and three state playoff appearances. Sanders won 70 percent of his regular season games at Pueblo, won regional coach of the year awards and was named 2019 Southern Arizona Coach of the Year.

Syndric Steptoe - Wildcat Football Staff

Syndric Steptoe is currently the Director of Player and Community relations for the Arizona Football Team. He played for the Wildcats from 2003 to 2006. After being drafted in the 2007 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns, he played four seasons for their organization. Following his playing career, he owned his own restaurant in Miami. After selling his restaurant in 2014, he moved back to Tucson with his wife and two children. He has been working at the University since 2015 in various roles.
