Next Level Sports - COVID Information

As Next Level Sports begins its 2022 season, we would like to take a moment to communicate our COVID-19 Protocols, Reporting Requirements, and Contact Tracing Procedures. We have put these in place to help ensure an incident-free season while being realistic that we will have, as previously, isolated issues. As always, we ask our participants to monitor the health recommendations of the Center for Disease Control (CDC), the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) as well as instructions from their specific State, County or City.

Defining Exposure:

The California Department of Public Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) currently defines exposure as contact with someone infected with COVID-19 and close contact as someone through Proximity and Duration of Exposure, was within 6 feet of an infected person for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 48-hour period (for example, three individual 5-minute exposures for a total of 15 minutes).

Next Level’s COVID-19 Protocols:

Participants:

  • Should stay home if they are sick or have symptoms of illness, such as influenza (flu) or COVID-19

  • Should follow the applicable quarantine rules (vaccinated vs. unvaccinated) if they receive notification of potential exposure and follow isolation rules if they receive a positive test result.

Next Level Sports:

  • Has modified our practice and game protocols to minimize the proximity duration of exposure.

  • Will continue to sanitize our equipment,

  • Remind our participants to stay 6 feet apart during water breaks and coach discussions, and to not share water or snacks.

Reporting Positive Results:

With the rising amount of exposures and positive results within our community, Next Level is requiring all participants who have received a positive COVID-19 test result to report immediately to Next Level by emailing [email protected]. Please include participant name, location, team, date of symptoms, and date of positive test. The participant will be contacted by Next Level for further information and instructions.

Players with a positive COVID-19 result must follow the CDC, State, County, and City Quarantine rules before returning to practice/games with their team and parents are responsible for monitoring the timeline of their return. Next Level will notify teammates upon receipt of confirmation of a positive COVID-19 case within their group  and will expect participants to follow applicable guidelines for quarantining as applicable.

Contact Tracing:

If it is determined in our contact tracing review that the above stated best practices for minimizing close contact were followed during Next Level Sports practices/games, the presence of a positive COVID-19 result will not be considered a close contact or exposure for all other players per CDC guidelines.  Next Level will notify teammates of a potential exposure within their group and will expect participants to follow applicable guidelines for quarantining as applicable.

This plan will continue to be updated as guidance changes national, state or county levels.  We will be in communication if/when this occurs and updates/changes will be highlighted.  Again, we appreciate your support and understanding as we continue to navigate COVID-19 through a successful season.
