League Operations
- Season Operations: The Next Level Basketball season in Danville at Monte Vista High School will run from September through late October with 8 program dates over the program schedule.
- Game Dates: All games are on Sundays - check the schedule below for details!
- Grade Based Organization: Next Level is a grade-based organization, players play in their designated grade level.
- Practices/Game Schedule: All practices and games are on the SAME DAY - parents need only allocate a 2-hour window of availability each week for their child's involvement in the program. Practice hours take place immediately prior to a participant's scheduled game time.
- Game Play: Each Next Level game is 5 versus 5 (except as noted below as 3-on-3), with no backcourt pressure as the defense is picked up after mid-court.
- Student Mentor Coaches: All teams are assigned a High School (or local area high school) student-athlete as a Head Coach/Mentor. Parent volunteers are to ASSIST our student-athletes and ENABLE them in their role as the head coach of their respective team(s). The interactions and expectations of the Student Coach and Parent Volunteer Coaches are governed within the Next Level Rule Book.
- Team Roster Size: Teams are comprised of 10 players maximum (6 players maximum for 3-on-3).
- Season Fees: $330.00: Fees are inclusive of a participant's custom jersey, shorts and other equipment/offerings.
- Uniform Delivery: All season uniforms will be shipped to a participant's home (or provided shipping address). Delivery will occur via USPS and a valid USPS delivery location is required. Participants must keep their shipping addresses up to date for proper delivery. Replacement uniforms will be at the cost of the participant should inaccurate addresses be provided at the time of production.
- Optional Player Pack: During registration, participants have the option to purchase an additional 'Player Pack' during check out. The Player Pack option will be added to their base league fees for the 2025 season during checkout. Items will be shipped directly to the home along with a player's uniform. Sizing verification will be sent during late summer via email, prior to production and shipping!
- Pro Pack: $60.00 - Player Exclusive Next Level Basketball Hoodie.
- Compression Pack: $65.00 - Short Sleeve Compression Shirt and one pair of 3/4 Compression Pant.
- NEW Student-Athlete Pack: $85.00 - Next Level x Jones Sports Backpack in Black and Next Level Elite Basketball Player Bag Tag.
- Baller Pack: $150.00 - Player Exclusive Next Level Basketball Hoodie, Short Sleeve Compression Shirt and one pair of 3/4 Compression Pant, and a Grey Shooting Shirt with your Team Logo on the front.

All teams will play games through the entire 8-week program schedule regardless of their seeding in the Playoff Weeks.

Site Director: Nick Jones
Nick Jones graduated from UC San Diego in 2003 and returned to his alma mater, Monte Vista High School in Danville, to coach the freshman basketball team for one season and the junior varsity basketball team for 3 seasons. In the spring of 2007, Coach Jones was hired as the Boys Varsity Basketball Coach at Castro Valley High School. In 5 seasons, he guided the Trojans to a record of 122-26 including 2 HAAL League championships and the school’s first-ever North Coast Section title in 2011. In the spring of 2012 Coach Jones was hired as the Boys Varsity Basketball Coach at Monte Vista High School. During the 2013-2014 season, the Mustangs won the East Bay Athletic League Title, the North Coast Section title, the Northern Regional championship and capped a 32-1 season with a CIF Division 1 California State Championship. After losing all 5 starters from the state championship team, Coach Jones led the Mustangs to the East Bay Athletic League title and North Coast Section title during the 2014-2015 season. Coach Jones is also a product of San Ramon Valley Little League dynasty of the early 1990s
