Camp is open to participants from 1st to 8th grade (2022/2023 school year)! The Program will run on Monday-Thursday, July 11th to July 14th.
The Next Level Flag Football Camp teaches sound fundamental offensive and defensive football skills to both experienced and beginner youth athletes. Individual and group drills will be demonstrated to teach basic techniques. Proper warm-up, physical conditioning, skills drills and review are part of each scheduled session!
Coach Anderson, assisted by local high school athletes, will execute the Next Level Flag Football Camp Programs. Camp focus will be on core skill development (offensive and defensive principles), proper play execution, understanding situational roles, and of course...Next Level Game Action!
No previous flag football or Next Level program experience is required to attend the camp(s). See below for the full camp curriculum!
All camp attendees will receive a Next Level Summer Camp Nike Dri-Fit T-shirt along with other items which are included in the base cost of the program!
Site Logistics and Schedule
Camp Curriculum
Offense:
- Quarterback Drills: 3 & 5 Step Drops, Scrambling, Throwing Technique, Reading Coverages, etc.
- Running Back Drills: Ball Security, Ball Handling, Footwork Progressions, Change of Direction Drills, etc.
- Wide Receiver Drills: Stance & Body Position, Releases, Route Tree Teach, Catching in Traffic, Motions/Sweeps, etc.
Defense
- Age appropriate defensive coverages (man and zone concepts),
- Proper stance, leverage, coverage alignments (man and zone concepts),
- Blitz technique and responsibilities,
- Zone coverage responsibilities, eye discipline and zone spacing discipline,
- Flag pulling drills and fundamentals.
Teamwork
- How to be a great teammate in a group dynamic,
- Understanding and implementing play direction,
- Getting in and out of an offensive huddle.

Golden Anderson has been the Head Coach of Carmel High School for 11 years. Coach Anderson has held the single season school record for wins three times. He has led the Padres to 8 league titles, 1 Section Title, 4 Section Finals appearances and 5 undefeated regular seasons. Coach Anderson is the recipient of both the 2016 Northern California Semper Fi Coach of the Year and 2009 Max Preps Small Schools State Coach of the Year.
