  2. Game Dates: All activity takes place on Sundays - check the schedule below for details!
  3. Grade Based Organization: Next Level is a grade-based organization, players play in their designated grade level.
  4. Practices/Game Schedule: 30-minute team practices will be held before your games on the same day. Each week, teams will play two 25-minute games. During the final week of the program, there will be no practice. Instead, teams will compete in the quarterfinals, semifinals, and championship games. All teams will play three games during this final week.
  5. Game Play: Games are played 3v3 on a half-court setup with fast, structured gameplay. Substitutions are required every five minutes, and possession resets on the whistle at mid-court. All standard basketball rules are enforced, including traveling, double dribbling, and common fouls (like reaching). Shooting fouls result in one free throw worth one point, taken like a technical; make or miss, possession goes to the defensive team. Any "and-1" situations also receive one free throw.
  6. Student-Athletes/Mentor Coaches: All teams will have practice led by a student coach who is trained and given specific drills and training to organize a practice station each week. These practices will continue to build each week, improving all participants' skill level throughout the season. Parent Volunteers are expected to assist and support the students as they lead practice. The "Parent Lead" is then solely responsible for all in-game adjustments, coaching, and substitutions throughout the games. Remember, players must rotate every 5 minutes. Parent Volunteer Coaches are governed by the Next Level Rule Book.
  7. Team Roster Size: Teams are comprised of 6 players maximum, limited exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
