2021 Flag Football Summer Camp - Missouri State University
Next Level Sports is thrilled to announced our partnership with Missouri State Univeristy!
Join us this Summer for Next Level's inaugural Flag Football Camp in Springfield at Missouri State Univeristy! The program will operate on Wednesdays starting on June 23rd, and will conclude on July 28th.

Camp is open to participants from 2nd to 8th grade (2021/2022 school year)!
The Next Level Flag Football Camp teaches sound fundamental offensive and defensive football skills to both experienced and beginner youth athletes. Individual and group drills will be demonstrated to teach basic techniques. Proper warm-up, physical conditioning, skills drills and review are part of each scheduled session. Coach Cassity, assisted by current Missouri State Bears, will execute the Next Level Flag Football & Skills Camp. Camp focus will be on core skill development (offensive and defensive principles), proper technique and fun!
No previous flag football experience is required to attend the camp(s). See below for the full camp curriculum!
All camp attendees will receive a Next Level Summer Camp Dri-Fit T-shirt along with other items which are included in the base cost of the program!
Site Logistics and Schedule
Camp Curriculum
Offense
- Basic formation and offensive play installation,
- Proper receiving stance, catching mechanics and route running skills,
- Ball carrying, ball security, escape moves and ball handoffs,
- Passing, grip stance, different route runs and base read progression.
Defense
- Age appropriate defensive coverages (man and zone concepts),
- Proper stance, leverage, coverage alignments (man and zone concepts),
- Zone coverage responsibilities, eye discipline and zone spacing discipline,
- Flag pulling drills and fundamentals.
Teamwork
- How to be a great teammate in a group dynamic,
- Understanding and implementing play direction,
- Getting in and out of an offensive huddle.

Coach Cassity is going into his second season as the Outside Linebackers and Nickels Coach for the Missouri State Bears and Head Coach Bobby Petrino. In his first year on staff, Coach Cassity helped lead the Bears to the 2021 Missouri Valley Conference Championship as well as a defense that was nationally ranked in the top 10 in multiple categories. Coach Cassity is ready to bring energy and enthusiasm as your Site Director!
