2024 Next Level Flag Football Season - San Marcos @ Texas State University
Welcome to the 1st season of Next Level Flag Football in San Marcos at Texas State University! We are excited to get things rolling with the Texas State Football Program, the Bobcats Student-Athletes and our Site Director James Sherman.
General Registration is now open for all participants.

League Operations
- Season Operations: The Next Level Flag Football season at Texas State University will run with 9 program dates over the program schedule.
- Game Dates: All games are on Sundays, except SuperBowl Saturday - check the schedule below for details!
- Team Roster Size: Teams are comprised of 10 players maximum (7th/8th Grade, maximum of 15), limited exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
- Season Fees: Early Bird Registration $250.00 (Regular Fees: $275.00 as of 11/1) - Fees are inclusive of a participant's custom jersey, shorts, use of flags, and other equipment/offerings.
- Uniform Delivery: All season uniforms will be shipped to a participant's home (or provided shipping address). Delivery will occur via USPS and a valid USPS delivery location is required. Participants must keep their shipping addresses up to date for proper delivery. Replacement uniforms will be at the cost of the participant should inaccurate addresses be provided at the time of production.
- Optional Player Packs: During the registration process, participants have the option to purchase additional Player Packs upon check out. For the 2023 Next Level Flag Football season, 4 options are available for purchase (see below). Player Pack costs will be added to the base league registration fees at check out. All Player Pack merchandise will be shipped with your participant's Next Level Flag Football uniform - unless otherwise communicated from our team. Sizing verification will be sent via email as your season uniform heads into production!
- Base Player Pack - $40.00: Nike Player Long Sleeve Shirt featuring the Next Level Player Logo on the front, participant's last name on the back.
- Pro Player Pack - $55.00: Nike Player Hoodie featuring the Next Level Player Logo on the front, participant's last name on the back.
- Performance Pack - $65.00: One pair each: 3/4 Compression Tights (White), Short Sleeve Compression Shirt (White).
- Baller Player Pack - $145.00: Nike Player Long Sleeve Shirt, Nike Player Hoodie, and the Performance Pack (compression) all in one!

- 2nd/3rd Grade - 11:00 AM Practice/12:00 PM Game
- 4th/5th Grade - 12:00 PM Practice/1:00 PM Game
- 6th/7th Grade - 1:00 PM Practice/2:00 PM Game

All teams will play games through the entire 9-week program schedule regardless of their seeding in the Playoff Weeks.
*SuperBowl Sunday Games moved up an hour for all divisions for SuperBowl Sunday considerations.

Site Director: James Sherman & Bobcats Football Staff
James Sherman is in his third season as the director of player development at Texas State after earning two bachelor’s degrees at Texas State, setting a single-game kicking record, serving four years on the student-athlete advisory committee, and lettering four years for the Bobcat football team.
In his current role, Sherman creates, develops and implements programming that fosters an environment of holistic well-being and personal growth beyond the football field. This programming is rooted and focuses on character growth, community involvement and career development. He also serves as a liaison between student-athletes and several support areas including Academics, Housing, Financial Aid and Student Led Organizations.
Sherman set Texas State’s single-game records for most field goals made and attempted when he was successful on five of his six tries against Texas Southern in 2018. He also tied another school record and equaled the fourth-highest point total in Sun Belt Conference history when he scored 18 points in Texas State’s 36-20 victory over Texas Southern.
