Winter 2021 Flag Football Camp - Marin Catholic 

Next Level Sports is pumped to bring back our flag football camp to your Community this February! We are rolling out the weekend of February 6th/7th. Gather your buddies and register today....Space is limited to 12 cohorts!

The camp is open to participants from Kindergarten to 8th grade (2020/2021 school year). 

The Next Level Flag Football Camp will instruct sound fundamental offensive and defensive football skills to both experienced and beginner youth athletes. Individual and group drills will be demonstrated to teach core football techniques. Proper warm-up, physical conditioning, skills, and drills will be on offer. 

Get ready for a 4-day program lineup which will include core fundamental drills, fun competitions and some Next Level Flag Football action (within cohort groups)!

Our Next Level Staff will be joined by local collegiate football players as well as High School Student-Athletes to coach up your participant!

All camp attendees will receive a Next Level Summer Camp Nike Dri-Fit T-Shirt (in cohort color - required each day) along with other items which are included in the base cost of the program!

Camp Curriculum

Offense

  • Basic formation and offensive play installation,
  • Proper receiving stance, catching mechanics and route running skills,
  • Ball carrying, ball security, escape moves and ball handoffs,
  • Passing, grip stance, different route runs and base read progression.

Defense

  • Age appropriate defensive coverages (man and zone concepts),
  • Proper stance, leverage, coverage alignments (man and zone concepts),
  • Zone coverage responsibilities, eye discipline and zone spacing discipline,
  • Flag pulling drills and fundamentals.

Teamwork

  • How to be a great teammate in a group dynamic,
  • Understanding and implementing play direction,
  • Getting in and out of an offensive huddle.

Week 1 - Saturday, 2/6: 1:00 p.m to 3:00 p.m.
Week 2 - Sunday, 2/14: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Week 3 - Sunday, 2/21: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Week 4 - Sunday, 2/28: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Session 2: Saturday 2/6 - Sunday 2/28
Week 1 - Saturday, 2/6: 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Week 2 - Sunday, 2/14: 1:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Week 3 - Sunday, 2/21: 1:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Week 4 - Sunday, 2/28: 1:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Session 3: Sunday 2/7 - Sunday 2/28
Week 1 - Sunday, 2/7: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Week 2 - Sunday, 2/14: 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Participants will be assigned to a session period based on their cohort assignment. Please designate any preference at point of registration (please note, Session preferences are not guaranteed).

Health and Safety Guidelines:

In accordance with the Marin County Health Order, campers will be grouped into cohorts of up to 14 participants. The cohorts must remain together for the duration of the camp with participants NOT interchanging between cohort groups at any point during the Camp period.

Participants and their families should expect the following for Camp Execution: 

- Daily temperature checks for all participates upon arrival by Next Level Sports staff,
- Parent/Guardian will be asked to fill out a Health Questionnaire (both daily and prior to the start of the camp period),
- Each drill area will emphasize social distancing at all times, and will be set up to ensure so,
- Each cohort area will have a hand sanitizing station specific to that group,
- All camp equipment will be properly sanitized at the conclusion of each camp session,
- There will be ABSOLUTELY no intermingling of Cohorts.

More information will be provided to all participants in regards to pick-up, drop-off, and safety protocols which all participants must adhere to during the program period. This information will be announced and shared well in advance of the program start date.

The Next Level Camp program will strictly adhere to the most current Marin County Health Order. Should any changes occur in the County Health Order - Next Level Sports will evaluate the Order for potential modifications of the program.
