2020 Wildcat Girls Basketball Summer Camp

Join us this summer for the Next Level Sports/Wildcat Girls Basketball Camp at Marin Catholic High School! The camp will run from June 22nd to June 26th and is open to participants from 2nd grade to 8th grade (rising 2020/2021 school year)! The Next Level Sports/Wildcat Girls Basketball Camp will cover a wide variety of fundamental skills during each day of programming. The camp will focus on fundamentals including footwork, ball handling, shooting and passing as well as the introduction of proper defensive techniques. Each day the program will run mini contests based on the introduced curriculum. The contests will include: Free Throw Shooting, 3-Pt Shooting, Hot Shot, Ball Handling and Knockout competitions. Participants will be divided into appropriate age/skill groups for the entirity of the camp program and mini contests! All campers will be placed on equally divided teams for full game play (daily) and compete for the Camp Team Championship. This is a great opportunity to play/train with other girls in your community - whether your new to the sport or have played with/against other players within the program! Coach Saia and her staff of current high school and college players are dedicated to providing a fun and competitive environment at camp No previous Next Level Baskeball experience is required to attend the camp(s). The program is open to girls interested in improving their skill level and interest in the game of basketball. All camp attendees will receive a Next Level Summer Camp Nike Dri-Fit T-shirt along with other items which are included in the base cost of the program!

Site Logistics & Schedule

Sample Camp Curriculum


  • Basic offensive set and offensive play installation,
  • Proper shooting form and technique,
  • Passing, ball handling, offensive motion and movement fundamentals,
  • Half-court and full-court offensive strategies and techniques.


  • Age appropriate defensive coverages (man and zone concepts),
  • Proper stance, leverage, motion alignments to establish defensive principles,
  • Zone coverage responsibilities, court discipline and zone spacing discipline,
  • Half-court and full-court defensive strategies and techniques.


  • How to be a great teammate in a group dynamic,
  • Understanding and implemention of team dynamics with offensive/defensive sets,
  • Working as team unit throughout all aspects of the game (pregame, in-game, etc.)

2020 Camp Dates & Times

Dates: Monday, June 22nd to Thursday, June 25th

Full Day Session: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Lunch Included)

Site Director: Ashely Saia

Ashley Saia just finished her second season as the Varsity Womens Basketball Head Coach at Marin Catholic. Capping the 2019 regular season, the LadyCats pulled off a come-from-behind victory in the MCAL Championship, earning Saia her first championship pennant at Marin Catholic.

Ashley spent six years in various roles at the collegiate level beginning at Cal as an Operations Intern for the Womens Basketball team followed by an assistant coaching job at Gannon University helping them to an Elite 8 appearance. Her last 4 years at the college level were spent at Miami (OH) University as a Director of Operations & Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator. Ashley is a 2006 graduate of Marin Catholic (2-time All-League, 1st Team & 2nd Team) and then played at Bentley University from 2006-2011. Ashley is focused on creating a team-first environment where her players can learn and excel on & off the court.
